“Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where is your beloved hiding himself, That we may seek him with you?”
Where has your beloved gone, O you fairest among women? [Again the ladies showed their interest in the remarkable person whom the Shulammite had championed with such unstinted praise; they too wanted to know him, they insisted.] Where is your beloved hiding himself? For we would seek him with you.
Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
Where has your love gone, most beautiful of women? Which way has he turned? We will seek him with you.
Which way did your lover go, you who are the most beautiful of women? Which way did your lover turn, that we may look for him along with you?
Where has your darling gone, you most beautiful of women? Which way did your darling turn, so that we can help you find him?
Most beautiful of women, tell us where he has gone. Let us help you find him.

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the bed of aromatical spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
